Intel chief tech officer hints at move into smartwatch market![]() June 19, 2013 - 18:00 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Intel has become the latest company linked with a move into the burgeoning smartwatch market following comments by chief technology officer Justin Rattner, Ditgital Spy said. The executive told Bloomberg that his company is developing a device that can be used for reading text messages on your wrist, strongly hinting that wearable tech is in the works. He told the news agency: "If you think of how much texting goes on today, wouldn't it be nice if you could just glance at your wrist and see the message traffic? "[This is] as opposed to, 'You have to pull out your phone and you have to be very public about it'." Rattner went on to say that a move into the wearable tech field would require Intel to "rethink" the way that it designs hardware components. "[It] requires a complete rethink of how you design systems and how you programme systems," he added. "One of the challenges we see, and something that we're giving a lot of attention to - not surprisingly - is how does the silicon change if you're going to wear technology." Several other tech companies are believed to have smartwatches in the works, including Apple, Samsung and LG. Yerevan will host the 2024 edition of the World Congress On Information Technology (WCIT). Rustam Badasyan said due to the lack of such regulation, the state budget is deprived of VAT revenues. Krisp’s smart noise suppression tech silences ambient sounds and isolates your voice for calls. Gurgen Khachatryan claimed that the "illegalities have been taking place in 2020." Partner news |
