Leonardo DiCaprio to honor Martin Scorsese LACMA gala

PanARMENIAN.Net - Leonardo DiCaprio is to honor Martin Scorsese at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art's Art+Film Gala, Digital Spy said.

The actor will pay tribute to his Wolf of Wall Street director's life and career on November 2 at LACMA's annual celebration.

DiCaprio said in a statement: "I've been lucky enough to collaborate with Marty on Gangs of New York, The Aviator, The Departed and most recently The Wolf of Wall Street.

"I am thrilled to have my dear friend join us at LACMA and to celebrate his astounding cinematic legacy and leadership in preserving film for future generations."

The artist David Hockney will also receive a special award at this year's Art+Film Gala.

Scorsese has received many prestigious awards throughout his career, including an Academy Award for 'Best Director' and four Golden Globes.

The Wolf of Wall Street opens on November 15 in US cinemas.
