Julianne Moore to star as President Coin in “Hunger Games: Mockingjay”? The Crazy Stupid Love actress is being considered to star as President Alma Coin in the films that will be based on Suzanne Collins's novel Mockingjay. President Alma Coin will feature prominently in the final two films, as she comes into conflict with the rebellious Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence). Moore's deal could potentially be reached quite quickly, according to a highly-placed source. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, which is the second film in the franchise, will be released on November 22. Philip Seymour Hoffman is making his franchise debut in director Francis Lawrence's sequel as the new gamemaker Plutarch Heavensbee. Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson also return for Catching Fire as their respective characters Gale and Peeta. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire's adapted screenplay has been penned by Simon Beaufoy and Michael Arndt.
