He will star opposite Ben Mendelsohn in writer-directors Ryan Fleck and Anna Boden's drama. Mendelsohn (The Place Beyond the Pines) will play a down-on-his-luck gambler who teams up with a younger peer (Reynolds). Together, the pair set out on a road trip through the American South in the hopes of changing their fortunes. Reynolds will next be seen in R.I.P.D. and Queen of the Night. He is shortly due to begin shooting Tarsem Singh's Selfless. Fleck and Boden's most recent projects were Half Nelson and It's Kind of a Funny Story.
