New Aerosmith doc teases rock band’s most critical tourJuly 1, 2013 - 14:12 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Steven Tyler has recently offered Billboard tidbits about upcoming Aerosmith documentary, "Rock for the Rising Sun". In the Casey Patrick Tebo movie, fans will be treated with footage from the 2011 tour in Japan that chronicles the end to the break-up saga of the Boston-based rock band during the couple of years prior. The father of actress Liv Tyler also revealed that it was Tebo, the band's videographer on tour, who first came up with the idea of making the documentary. "He shows up in L.A. and goes, 'Would you be interested in doing a full-length feature motion picture about what you did in Japan?' " Tyler recalled. "And we said, 'Well, show us what you got,' and he put together such great footage of us playing there, six shows and all the songs that we'd never done before ('A Lick and a Promise', 'One Way Street'), and it was amazing and we said, 'Yeah, of course.' So hats off to Casey, man." "Rock for the Rising Sun" will also feature live performances of 17 songs and bonus material. It is due out July 23 on DVD, Blu-ray and digital download.
