Travel ban issued against Egypt president Morsi

PanARMENIAN.Net - Airport officials say a travel ban has been issued against the embattled president and the leader of the Muslim Brotherhood, according to The Associated Press.

The officials said Wednesday, July 3, that the travel ban on Mohammed Morsi has to do with his escape from prison with more than 30 other Muslim Brotherhood during the 2011 uprising against autocrat Hosni Mubarak.

Also banned from travel is Brotherhood leader Mohammed Badie, his deputy Khairat el-Shater. The opposition accuses them of calling all the shots during Morsi's year in power.
