President, EU Commissioner discuss Armenia-EU relations

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan met Wednesday, July 10, with the European Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighborhood Policy Štefan Füle.

The two men spoke about the Armenia-EU relations, cooperation in the framework of Eastern Partnership initiative and the process of negotiations on the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement which constitutes an integral part of the Association Agreement.

They noted the progress in cooperation on mobility, underscoring that the Agreements on Visa Facilitation and Readmission have already been signed and now are undergoing the process of ratification.

Mr. Füle also referred to the preparatory work for the Eastern Partnership Summit in Vilnius.

President Sargsyan, in turn, stressed that Armenia is determined to continue the large-scale reforms implemented in different areas and is anticipating additional assistance to that end.
