Syrian rebels shoot at buses carrying Armenians

PanARMENIAN.Net - A rebel attack on two buses on Aleppo-Beirut route carrying Syrian Armenians, among others, left several dead and injured.

The fire was opened at 30 kilometers from Aleppo.

Details and the identities of the victims are being clarified, Foreign Ministry spokesman told PanARMENIAN.Net

The attack was rebuffed, with the rivals suffering heavy losses. Investigation is under way, the army’s press office said.
“The Kurdish people have historical-cultural similarities with the Armenians,” the Mayor of Artamed, Sevil Rojbin Cetin said.
Many have already fled to camps in Lebanon, Turkey or Jordan; the ancient Armenian community of Aleppo is moving to Yerevan.
