Oscilloscope nabs Tribeca Fest film "Teenage"

PanARMENIAN.Net - Oscilloscope Laboratories has acquired North American rights to Teenage, Matt Wolf's film about the genesis of youth culture. The film combines archival material, filmed portraits, and voices (provided by Jena Malone, Ben Whishaw, Julia Hummer and Jessie Usher) lifted from early 20th century diary entries. Its contemporary score is by Bradford Cox, The Hollywood Reporter said.

A production of Cinereach, the film is based on the book Teenage: The Pre-History of Youth Culture 1875-1945 by Jon Savage. It was produced by Ben Howe and Kyle Martin and executive produced by Philipp Engelhorn, Michael Raisler and Jason Schwartzman.

The film had its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival and went on to screen at Hot Docs and AFI Docs film festivals. O-Scope plans to continue showing the film at festivals before releasing it theatrically and on multiple platforms in 2014.
