“Antichrist” star Charlotte Gainsbourg joins Asia Argento’s “Misunderstood”

PanARMENIAN.Net - Charlotte Gainsbourg has been cast in Misunderstood, Digital Spy said.

She will reteam with Do Not Disturb co-star Asia Argento.

The film will be Asia's third directorial outing, following the 2004 feature The Heart Is Deceitful Above All Things.

Details of Misunderstood's plot remain under wraps. Gabriel Garko and Julia Salerno will also feature in the movie.

Gainsbourg will star in Lars Von Trier's upcoming, sexually explicit two-film project Nymphomaniac.

Accoridng to the Guardian, the film, which may also spawn a TV spinoff, is divided into chapters and tells of the erotic history of a woman played by Charlotte Gainsbourg. A softcore – yet still apparently explicit – version is due to premiere this winter in Denmark.

Asia will next be seen acting in her father Dario Argento's Dracula 3D.

Dracula 3D is a 2012 Italian-French-Spanish horror film starring Thomas Kretschmann, Asia Argento and Rutger Hauer. The screenplay was written by Argento, Enrique Cerezo, Stefano Piani and Antonio Tentori.
