Christian Bale, Casey Affleck in “Out of the Furnace” drama trailer (video) October 8, 2013 - 18:12 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The second trailer for Christian Bale and Casey Affleck's upcoming film Out of the Furnace has debuted online, The Hollywood Reporter said. The latest look at the film focuses on Affleck's character's story and the dangerous people he gets involved with. In the movie, from Crazy Heart director Scott Cooper, Affleck plays Rodney Baze, a man who gets involved with a ruthless crime ring and mysteriously disappears, leading his brother Russell, played by Bale, to try to find out what happened to him. In the latest trailer, Rodney is shown fighting for money in a group led by a villainous Woody Harrelson. Frustrated after returning home from Iraq, Rodney rejects Russell's invitation to work with him at the local steel mill. After Rodney disappears, Russell's told by a police officer played by Forest Whitaker that the cops won't look for him. Russell then attempts to find him, with the trailer hinting at the danger involved in this pursuit. Viewers also see glimpses of the world Affleck's character becomes a part of, including "a whole degree of justice that doesn't include us," according to a voiceover. Harrelson's character is also shown working out amid a voiceover describing someone who "haunts the mountains." The film also stars Zoe Saldana as Bale's love interest, Sam Shepard and Willem Dafoe. Relativity Media is set to release the movie on Dec. 6 in the U.S. Related links: Top stories The creative crew of the Public TV had chosen 13-year-old Malena as a participant of this year's contest.
