Armenia ranked 4th for price growth among post-Soviet states

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia was rated 4th among post-Soviet states for price growth, a study held by BelaPAN Belarusian news agency said.

Belarus was listed 1st in the study, posting a 10% price upsurge in the first 9 months of 2013.

Russia (4,7% price increase) and Kazakhstan (4,7%) were ranked 2nd and 3rd to be followed by Armenia (3.2%), Tajikistan, Estonia (2.8%), Moldova (2.3%), Kyrgyzstan (1.6%), Lithuania (0.8%) and Azerbaijan (0.3%.)

A price drop was posted in several countries with the following results: Latvia (0.4%), Ukraine (0.6%), Georgia (1%) and Turkmenistan (1.7% in the 1st halfyear of 2013).

In Moldovan Republic of Transnistria a 2,4% growth was reported, according to gazeta.ua.

Armenia’s economic activity index grew by 10,3% in September 2013 as compared with August 2013, according to the National Statistical Service of Armenia.

Consumer prices grew by 8,2% in September 2013 as compared with the same period in 2012. 0,2% deflation was reported in September 2013 as compared with August.

The national budget envisages 6,2%, economic growth, and 4±1,5% inflation for 2013.

А 12,7% industry growth was reported in September 2013 against the same period in 2012, with a month-on-month increase of 6,7% reported.
