Apple targets Nov 21 release for iPad mini with Retina display: report

PanARMENIAN.Net - Apple is allegedly targeting a November 21 release for the iPad mini with Retina display.

Retail chain Target claims that the Cupertino firm has set aside that date to coincide with 'Black Friday' on November 22, Digital Spy reveals citing MacRumours.

Black Friday is traditionally the biggest retail day of the year in the US.

Apple announced the new iPad mini alongside the flagship iPad Air earlier in October, but did not divulge a specific release date for the tablet.

Reports suggest that the Retina-packing mini will be hit by supply issues at launch, with some analysts predicting that it will not be widely available until 2014.

Apple CEO Tim Cook has even admitted that it is "unclear" whether there is enough stock to see the new iPad mini through its first quarter.

The company released the iPad Air in numerous territories November 1.
