"Originals", "Reign," "Tomorrow People" get full season orders at CWNovember 12, 2013 - 09:42 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Freshmen dramas on The CW have just been given a vote of confidence. "The Originals", "Reign" and "The Tomorrow People" will have a full 22-episode season after posting stellar numbers on their debut episodes, AceShowbiz reported. "We're excited about the creative momentum the producers have established for all three of our new series, and now our fans will have the chance to see the full stories unfold for them this season," the CW's president Mark Pedowitz said in a statement. "With the additional episodes ordered, plus two new dramas and new reality for midseason, we'll be able to continue our commitment to adding more original programming all year long." Pedowitz added, "In just a few seasons, we have built a much stronger primetime schedule. Our on-air ratings are up year-to-year, and our digital viewing continues to grow exponentially." "The Originals" which is a spin-off to another CW successful drama "The Vampire Diaries" attracted 3.3 million viewers and posted 1.1 ratings in the coveted adults 18-49 demo. Meanwhile, Julie Plec's "The Tomorrow People" averaged in 2.2 million viewers and 0.9 rating. "Reign" brought an average of 1.8 million viewers and 0.8 rating. The full season order is somehow inevitable as the network picked up three additional scripts for each show in October even before "Reign" premiered. EP Michael Narducci also said that the cast and crew worked for a full season although they did not know. "When we showed up in June, we said this is going to be a 22-episode season and we may go for six seasons ...nobody shows up to work thinking, 'This is going to be a disaster'," Narducci said. Meanwhile, other Fall freshmen, "The 100" and "Star-Crossed" are on the bench.
