Ron Livingston to star in “Supreme Ruler” indie comedy dramaNovember 19, 2013 - 11:52 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Ron Livingston, currently playing a key role on HBO’s Boardwalk Empire, has booked the starring role in director Duane Edwards' Supreme Ruler, joining Vincent D’Onofrio, Marcia Gay Harden and Brian Geraghty in the indie drama with comedic sensibilities, The Hollywood Reporter said. Stephen L’Heureux and his Solipsist Films are producing the movie, which centers on a small town go-getter (Livingston) whose dream of becoming “Supreme Ruler” of his local Buffalo Lodge is unexpectedly challenged by a hard-drinking womanizer (D’Onofrio). The two men are forced to travel to the Buffalo National Convention in Chicago in order to win the support of the organization's national leaders. Frederick Mensch wrote the script. The movie is currently putting together its financing. Livingston continues to roll from one well-cast movie to another. In the summer, he appeared in New Line’s horror hit The Conjuring opposite Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga, and then co-starred with Olivia Wilde and Anna Kendrick in the indie comedy Drinking Buddies. He was part of Parkland, the JFK-themed movie that counted Paul Giamatti and Billy Bob Thornton in its cast. (Harden also appeared in Parkland and Supreme Ruler.)
