Kuwaiti governor visits Armenia to boost ties![]() November 21, 2013 - 14:14 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Kuwaiti governor of Al-Asima Sheikh Ali Al-Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah is currently visiting Armenia for talks on cementing mutual cooperation and bilateral relations between the State of Kuwait and the Republic of Armenia, KUNA reported. Sheikh Ali Al-Jaber started the visit, late on Wednesday, Nov 20, and arrived at Zvartnots International Airport, where he and his delegation were welcomed by Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan, Kuwaiti Ambassador to Armenia Bassam Al-Qabandi, Kuwaiti and Armenian diplomats. In a statement upon his arrival, Sheikh Ali thanked Mayor Margaryan for the invitation to visit the country and expressed hope for his mission to be crowned with establishment of "real partnerships to boost the bilateral ties and cooperation as well as expertise exchange between the two sides." After the welcoming ceremony at the airport, Mayor Margaryan and Sheikh Ali Al-Jaber visited the monument symbolizing Armenian-Arab friendship. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire.
