PanARMENIAN.Net - "Bates Motel" won't return until 2014, but A&E tries to tide fans over the series' return with two new promos. In one of the clips, Norma Bates (Vera Farmiga) changes her son Norman's sheet when suddenly blood starts creeping up. In the other promo video, Norman (Freddie Highmore) practices his newfound taxidermy skills on a dead crow, AceShowbiz said.
Another drama series, "Those Who Kill", also premieres on the cable channel next year and it has been previewed in a newly-released teaser video. The sneak peek gives a look at Chloe Sevigny's Catherine Jensen washing her hands while a girl's voice, which is apparently in her head, seemingly channels a killer's thought.
"Bates Motel" serves as a prequel to Alfred Hitchcock's 1960 film "Psycho". As for "Those Who Kill", it is based on the Danish television series "Den Son Draeber" and is set to debut next spring.
The new series centers on Catherine Jensen, a freshly minted and incredibly smart police detective who tracks down serial killers. Jensen is also attempting to come to terms with her past by continuing to investigate her stepfather, whom she suspects may be a serial killer, and her brother who went Missing as a sixteen-year-old.
Jensen enlists the help of Thomas Schaffer (James D'Arcy), a forensic psychiatrist, to help her get into the minds of serial killers, all the while luring Schaffer into her own personal investigation. Both characters possess a deep psychological understanding that connects them to the killers' victims and to the killers themselves.
