Audi releases images of new e-car to debut next yearDecember 18, 2013 - 15:37 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Audi has released images and some information about a new electric vehicle concept that looks based upon its e-tron platform and which will debut publicly for the first time at next year’s Detroit Auto Show. The unnamed offering will be of a crossover style design, Earth Techling reports. Described by Audi as “sporty, compact and versatile,” this e-tron crossover concept is a two-door model designed for “all roads and tracks, for everyday driving and recreational use.” It will have high ground clearance and measure over 13 feet in length. The outer skin of this electric car is described as almost being modeled “from a solid piece, from the Singleframe grille and striking side tornado line to the taut, coupé-like rear. The overhangs are short; the roof line is low and it ends in a strong C pillar. The pronounced horizontal body line and the large 19-inch wheels emphasize the impression of concentrated energy.” Dual headlights, side air inlets and an aluminum underbody round out other characteristics of this e-tron car, Earth Techling says.
