PanARMENIAN.Net - Gone Girl fans have their first look at Ben Affleck in the adaptation of the best-selling novel, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The film still, tweeted from the official Twentieth Century Fox account Friday, shows Affleck addressing a crowd as he stands in front of a photograph of his missing wife (Rosamund Pike).

The film, from director David Fincher, is based on the Gillian Flynn who-done-it novel. Gone Girl centers on a philandering husband (Affleck), whose wife goes missing on their fifth anniversary.

Gone Girl also stars Neil Patrick Harris and Tyler Perry. It's scheduled for a Oct. 3, 2014 release.
