LG announces G Flex U.S. release date

PanARMENIAN.Net - LG has announced that its LG G Flex smartphone will be released in the U.S. during the first quarter of 2014, according to Digital Spy.

The handset, which is capable of self-healing when scratched or blemished, will be available through Sprint, AT&T and T-Mobile in the territory.

The LG G Flex features a 6-inch HD (720p) display, a 2.26GHz Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, a 3500mAh battery, a 13-megapixel camera, LTE connectivity and the Android 4.2.2 OS.

It was previously announced that the vertically curved handset will be available in the UK through EE in February.

EE is yet to confirm pricing or specific details of the packages it will offer the LG G Flex on, while other UK operators have not announced plans to stock the device.

The G Flex's U.S. availability was announced at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), where LG also showcased its latest television hardware and unveiled the Lifeband Touch fitness accessory.
