“Snowpiercer” Korean sci-fi hit unveils international trailer

PanARMENIAN.Net - Snowpiercer has released an international trailer with more new footage from the Korean sci-fi hit, Digital Spy said.

The Japanese trailer has arrived for Bong Joon-ho's film ahead of its release in the country on February 7.

Tilda Swinton, Chris Evans, John Hurt, Kang-ho Song, Octavia Spencer, Jamie Bell and Ewen Bremner star in the film set in a future in which a failed experiment to halt global warming has plunged Earth into a new ice age.

The last survivors of the human race live on a train which continuously circumnavigates the globe. Unhappy with the classist society in which they find themselves, the residents plot revenge against their brutal dictator (Swinton).

Joon-ho has said that he "has faith" that Harvey Weinstein will abandon controversial plans for a severe edit for the film's release in the West.

Snowpiercer is yet to announce its UK and North American release dates.

The film is in English, and runs for 138 minutes, although the version that will premiere in Venice is dubbed over in German.
