ABKCO Films nabs Alejandro Jodorowsky’s “Dance Of Reality”

PanARMENIAN.Net - The first film in 23 years from Chilean auteur Alejandro Jodorowsky has been picked up by ABKCO Films, which distributed his El Topo and The Holy Mountain in 2007 and will release the autobiographical Dance Of Reality theatrically in NY and LA on May 23, Deadline reported.

Dance of Reality, shot in Jodorowsky’s desert hometown of Tocopilla, blends the filmmaker’s recollections of childhood with metaphor and his signature surrealist style.

Pic premiered at Cannes in the Director’s Fortnight sidebar and makes its stateside debut at SXSW in March where Jodorowsky will appear in person for a rare Q&A.
