Toshiba Chromebook gets earlier than scheduled releaseFebruary 6, 2014 - 13:26 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Toshiba is releasing its first 13-inch Chromebook earlier than scheduled in the UK and U.S., Digital Spy said. The Haswell-powered Chrome OS laptop will start shipping from February 10. Retailers including Adorama and Amazon have begun listing the device, with a $280 price tag in the U.S. and for £249 in the UK. The Chromebook was originally intended to go on sale from February 16. Toshiba first unveiled the device at CES 2014, featuring a 1366 x 768 display and weighing 3.3 pounds. 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage is on board the laptop, while Toshiba claims the battery can last a maximum of nine hours. An HD webcam, stereo speakers, an HDMI socket and 100GB of Google Drive storage are also available.
