Report: Apple to include advanced 10-megapixel camera in iPhone 6February 6, 2014 - 13:37 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Apple is allegedly planning to include a significantly advanced camera in its iPhone 6 smartphone, Digital Spy revealed. Chinese website IT168 claims to have heard from supply-chain sources that the device will feature a 10-megapixel snapper with an f/1.8 aperture and improved filter. Japanese resin maker JSR is understood to be constructing the camera's filter from the same transparent resin it uses for digital and video cameras with CMOS sensors. The report contradicts word from previous sources that Apple intends to retain the 8-megapixel camera of the iPhone 5S for the handset's successor. Rumours elsewhere suggest that the iPhone 6 will come with a Lytro-style camera on board, allowing users to take multi-layered photographs and refocus them afterwards. Apple's rivals including Samsung and HTC are believed to be adopting enhanced cameras for their next flagship phones, with the former's Galaxy S5 said to feature a 20-megapixel snapper.
