Samsung patents virtual hand keyboard for smart glasses device

PanARMENIAN.Net - A Samsung patent has emerged, detailing plans for an augmented reality keyboard that could appear on a smart glasses user's hand, according to Digital Spy.

The patent - which dates back to August last year - is the latest indication that the South Korean electronics giant may launch a rumoured smart glasses wearable dubbed Galaxy Glass.

Samsung suggests that noise can interrupt voice controls, so it wants to project letters onto parts of the wearer's fingers for typing.

Images from the patent show that only the user would be able to see the augmented reality keyboard on their hand and use their thumb to type the message out.

It was previously reported that Samsung may unveil its Galaxy Glass wearable at September's IFA show held in Berlin.

Much like Google Glass, it is said to be capable of linking up with a smartphone - presumably to a Samsung handset, much like the Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo and Gear Fit smartwatches.
