Phase 4 picks up Mickey Rourke-narrated hit doc “Generation Iron”

PanARMENIAN.Net - Phase 4 has acquired the Canadian home entertainment rights to the documentary, “Generation Iron” and will distribute the film via DVD, VOD and Digital Download, TheWrap reported.

The film, which was directed by Vlad Yudin and narrated by Mickey Rourke, looks at the uber-competitive world of body building and the relentless quest of seven particular stars of the sport as they vie for the Mr. Olympia title. The subjects include body builders Phil Heath, Kai Greene, Branch Warren and Dennis Wolf.

The movie also includes appearances by the sport's greatest legend, Arnold Schwarzenegger, as well as Lou Ferrigno and Jay Cutler.

“Generation Iron” was a top six documentary at the Canadian box office in 2013, and made nearly $900,000 in US theaters, as well.

The deal was negotiated by producer Edwin Mejia for producers The Vladar Company and Jessica Labi, who negotiated on behalf of Phase 4 Films.
