Neve Campbell joins "Bremen Town Musicians" animated film cast

Neve Campbell joins

PanARMENIAN.Net - Neve Campbell has joined Jeffrey Wright and Alan Cumming as the voice stars of Bremen Town Musicians, the animated reimagining of the Russian folk tale and Brothers Grimm story being directed by Cats & Dogs director Lawrence Guterman, The Hollywood Reporter said.

D. Matt Geller (Night Witches) and Igor Dobrovolsky of Luxor Entertainment are producing.

Guterman is taking the animal-centric folk tale and reimagining it as a bent comic romance. The story is set in motion when the king of Bremen demands his incompetent wizard search across space and time for the greatest musical troupe ever to perform at his daughter's wedding.

Campbell will portray the daughter, Princess Lielle, who is betrothed to the narcissistic Duke Henri (Wright), trapped in a gilded cage and dreaming of freedom from a life she never wanted. Cumming is playing the assistant to the wizard, who has not yet been cast.

Campbell was last seen on the big screen in 2011’s Scream 4. The feature will reunite her with Cumming, with whom she worked in 2005’s Reefer Madness: The Movie Musical.
