Oscar-nommed Amy Adams to topline sci-fi thriller “Story of Your Life” April 3, 2014 - 13:40 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Amy Adams is in negotiations to star in indie sci-fi thriller “Story of Your Life” with Denis Villeneuve (“Prisoners”) directing, Variety said. FilmNation Entertainment and Lava Bear Films are financing and producing. Producers are 21 Laps’ Shawn Levy and Dan Levine, along with FilmNation and Lava Bear. The script, based on a short story by Ted Chiang, is written by Eric Heisserer and is centered on an alien spacecraft landing on Earth. Adams would play a linguist for the military to determine the intentions of the aliens, who have already reached out. Chiang’s story, published in 1999, won the Nebula Award. Heisserer is also exec producing. Adams recently completed “Big Eyes” for Tim Burton.
