Google readying Android TV launch, leaked docs suggestApril 7, 2014 - 14:23 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Google could soon be launching its long-rumoured Android TV set-top box, according to documents obtained by The Verge, Digital Spy reported. The company is apparently aiming for a simplified approach that is "an entertainment interface, not a computing platform". Screenshots show an Android-esque interface, centred around third-party TV providers such as Netflix, apps, on-demand movies and television as well as games. "It's all about finding and enjoying content with the least amount of friction," the device's documentation allegedly reads, adding that it will be "cinematic, fun, fluid and fast". The device is said to consist of scrolling "cards" for each category - movies, shows, apps and games - which users can navigate through using their remote control. Scrolling left and right provides different suggestions on its shelf, while up and down scrolls through the different categories. Enter, Home and Back buttons will be available on the controller, as well as optional game controllers too.
