Gia Coppola's “Palo Alto” clips feature James Franco, Emma Roberts (video) May 2, 2014 - 15:24 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - James Franco makes his move on Emma Roberts in one of two new clips from director Gia Coppola's adaptation of his short story collection, “Palo Alto”, TheWrap said. Franco plays a soccer coach who crosses the line with a student (Roberts), who also babysits his children, in the drama centered on a group of teens at a California high school. Val Kilmer, Jack Kilmer, Nat Wolff (“The Fault in Our Stars”), Zoe Levin (“The Way Way Back”), Keegan Allen (“Pretty Little Liars”) and Chris Messina co-star in the indie film hitting select theaters on May 9. The clip shows Franco kissing his underage crush while helping her with a history paper, while another shows him luring her into the situation with the promise of helping her with homework. Franco recently found himself in the middle of a similar scenario in real life, when he was caught trying to pick up a 17-year-old Scottish girl on Instagram last month. The 36-year-old actor apologized for the somewhat aggressive flirting tactics — which included asking if he should rent a hotel room where they could meet — and blamed the episode on “bad judgment” and “tricky” social media.
