Andy Serkis returns as Caesar in “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes” trailer

PanARMENIAN.Net - A new trailer for Dawn of the Planet of the Apes has been released, Digital Spy said.

Andy Serkis reprises his role as genetically modified chimpanzee Caesar from 2011's Rise of the Planet of the Apes, in a sequel which also features Jason Clarke, Gary Oldman and Keri Russell.

The Matt Reeves-directed film takes place ten years after a deadly virus wiped out much of the human population, and sees Caesar and a nation of similar genetically modified apes threatened by a band of human survivors.

The two groups reach a fragile but short-lived peace agreement, and are ultimately brought to the brink of a war that will determine who emerges as Earth's dominant species.

Toby Kebbell, Kodi Smith-McPhee, Enrique Murciano and Kirk Acevedo are among the supporting cast.

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes will be released in the US on July 11, and in the UK on July 17.
