Google makes playable digital Rubik's Cube for 40th anniversary

PanARMENIAN.Net - Google has created a playable digital Rubik's Cube to mark the 40th anniversary of Ernő Rubik's creation, Digital Spy said.

Users on the homepage for the search engine are presented with a clickable cube and can swipe or click outside of the cube to rotate it or click or swipe inside the cube to twist it.

Invented in 1974 and originally called the Magic Cube, the 3D puzzle from the Hungarian professor of architecture was licensed for sale by the Ideal Toy Corp in 1980.

It has since become one of the world's best-selling toys.

A physical Rubik's Cube has six faces each covered by nine stickers in white, red, blue, orange, green, and yellow.

To solve the puzzle, each face of the cube must be of the same colour.
