Xbox One to get FIFA World Cup Brazil app

PanARMENIAN.Net - Xbox One will receive a FIFA World Cup Brazil companion app, Microsoft has announced, Digital Spy reported.

The 'Brazil Now' app will be available to download from the Xbox One dashboard from June 12.

Available as part of Microsoft's 'Destination Brazil' section, the app can be snapped alongside live games to provide additional stats, polls and score updates.

It will also provide notifications and alerts when users are playing other games on Xbox One.

Users can personalise the app to receive info on a team's upcoming matches, tweets, and squad and group information.

Microsoft states: "Xbox Live Gold membership is not required, but fans will need advanced TV hardware, broadband internet, and a subscription from an affiliated service provider."

The 'Destination Brazil' section can also be used to access Thierry Henry and Edgar Davids' reality TV series Every Street United.

Premiering on June 15, Every Street United sees the two pros travel to different countries to seek out the best up and coming footballing talent.

'Destination Brazil' will also have links straight to FIFA 14's newly launched 'World Cup Ultimate Team' game mode.

The separate game mode within 'FIFA 14 Ultimate Team' gives players an opportunity to build squads from the 32 teams participating in the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

It features authentic national crests and kits, as well as FIFA World Cup online and single-player tournaments.
