Samsung to roll out Galaxy F smartphone in Sept against iPhone 6?

PanARMENIAN.Net - Samsung's rumoured Galaxy F premium smartphone could be showcased in September, the month Apple traditionally unveils its latest iPhone, Digital Spy said.

The news comes via internet tipster Evleaks, who yesterday (June 4) revealed purported images of the device - previously referred to as the Galaxy S5 Prime.

Samsung is said to be upping its Galaxy S5 effort into the Galaxy F by swapping a plastic shell for a metal chassis.

Previous reports claim that the device features a 5.1-inch, 2K display with a 2560x1440-pixel resolution and 3GB of RAM, as well as a 2.5Ghz Snapdragon 805 quad-core processor.

Other specs include an Adreno 420 graphics card, a 16-megapixel rear camera, a 2-megapixel front-facing snapper, 32GB storage and Android 4.4.2 KitKat.

Apple competitors usually avoid the September time to launch their new products, due to the fanfare surrounding iPhone events. If Samsung does intend to reveal the Galaxy F smartphone in three months' time, it could be encroaching on the launch of the iPhone 6.
