HBO just revealed that Game of Thrones has officially taken the crown as the pay cabler's most popular series to date, The Hollywood Reporter said. Upping its gross season-four average from 18 million to 18.4 million ahead of the final two episodes, Game of Thrones passes the high watermark set by The Sopranos in 2002. The most-watched season of the mob drama maxed out at 18.2 million viewers. Game of Thrones is now up 4 million viewers from the third season, and could very easily grow even more once final numbers are tallied for the remaining two episodes.
