Christian Bale as Moses in “Exodus: Gods and Kings” trailer

PanARMENIAN.Net - Christian Bale plays Moses in the first teaser trailer for director Ridley Scott's forthcoming biblical epic Exodus: Gods and Kings, The Hollywood reporter said.

The trailer focuses on Moses butting heads with Rhamses (Joel Edgerton) and provides glimpses at the plagues that will befall the Egyptians, including fire, bloody water and a lot of really bad weather. Chariot races and sword fights also abound.

"You say this is not your fault, so let's just see who's more effective at killing," Rhamses menacingly tells Moses in a pivotal scene.

Sigourney Weaver, Ben Kingsley, Aaron Paul and John Turturro co-star. Scott — who directed from a script by frequent collaborator Steven Zaillian (American Gangster) — returns to the swords-and-sandals domain of his 2000 film Gladiator, which won best picture.

20th Century Fox releases the film Dec. 12.
