PanARMENIAN.Net - A writer is booked for movie adaptation of Veronica Roth's novel "Allegiant". The third and final book in the franchise will be turned into two movies, and Noah Oppenheim ("The Maze Runner") is set to write the script for "Allegiant - Part 1", AceShowbiz said.

The first part will arrive in theaters across the United States on March 18, 2016. "Allegiant - Part 2" will follow on March 24, 2017. Shailene Woodley and Theo James are expected to reprise their respective roles as Tris and Four.

The second film, "The Divergent Series: Insurgent", will head to theaters on March 20, 2015. Robert Schwentke ("R.I.P.D.") takes over the helming duty, after Neil Burger who directed the first film "Divergent" decides not to return to the franchise. Naomi Watts and Octavia Spencer are among the new additions.
