LG takes on Sonos, launches Music Flow speaker systemAugust 20, 2014 - 14:40 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net -
LG is taking on Sonos with the launch of its own streaming speaker system, Digital Spy said. Music Flow is comprised of a variety of different sized speakers, a soundbar and a network bridge, as well as a companion smartphone app. The Music Flow Player app is used for streaming tunes to the speaker system, and also works as a portable music player, capable of picking up internet radio stations. The home system includes support for LG HomeChat, enabling it to interpret commands sent via messaging app Line, and is NFC-ready. LG's Auto Music Play feature ensures that music will be automatically streamed to the speakers nearest to the user. For instance, playback will be switched from one room to another based on the user's location, determined by tracking their smartphone. Music Flow will be released in the UK later this month, with pricing yet to be announced.
