Focus World nabs Julianne Moore, Robert Pattinson’s “Maps to the Stars”September 2, 2014 - 11:49 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Focus World has picked up U.S. distribution rights to Maps to the Stars, The Hollywood Reporter said. The film, directed by David Cronenberg, stars Julianne Moore as an aging leading lady and Mia Wasikowska as a mysterious young woman who becomes her assistant. The film also stars Robert Pattinson, John Cusack, Olivia Williams, Evan Bird, and Sarah Gadon. Focus World is eyeing an early 2015 release for Maps to the Stars, which earned Moore best actress honors at the Cannes International Film Festival in May. Entertainment One and Prospero Pictures co-financed the film, with producers including Prospero’s Martin Katz, SBS Productions’ Said Ben Said and Michel Merkt. Sentient Entertainment’s Renee Tab and eOne’s Benedict Carver were executive producers. eOne Films International is handling worldwide rights to the film. WME negotiated on behalf of eOne. Focus World was represented by SVP Anjay Nagpal and VP of Business Affairs Gene Kang. The film will screen this month at the Toronto International Film Festival and the New York Film Festival.
