Stephen King's "Things They Left Behind" gets put-pilot order at CBS September 10, 2014 - 17:42 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - After successfully adapting Stephen King's "Under the Dome" as a summer series, CBS has given "The Things They Left Behind" a put-pilot order. A one-hour drama project, "The Things They Left Behind" follows an unlikely pair of investigators carrying out the unfinished business of the dead, AceShowbiz reported. The title was first published as a short story in the compilation "Transgressions: Volume Two" in 2003. It follows a young man named Scott who didn't go in to work at his Twin Towers office on the day of the 9/11 attacks. Overcome with guilt, Scott begins waking up in his apartment only to find items belonging to his work peers sitting around. The story was at one point adapted as an extended short film by Pablo Macho Maysonet IV. Warner Bros. TV and Greg Berlanti's Berlanti Productions are producing the TV project. Seth Grahame-Smith, David Katzenberg and Sarah Schechter are executive producers. Grahame-Smith, whose credits include "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter" and "Dark Shadows", will also write the supernatural procedural drama.
