PanARMENIAN.Net - Marvel's Doctor Strange will reportedly be shot in the UK, Digital Spy said citing ScreenDaily.

Marvel is in advanced negotiations with Pinewood-Shepperton about a possible mid-2015 movie shoot.

The movie will reportedly begin filming next May, although a film crew is likely to begin setting up at the site later this year.

Scott Derrickson is directing the comic book adaptation, which centres around the Sorcerer Supreme and sworn protector of Earth. The film also now has a confirmed release date of July 8, 2016.

Joaquin Phoenix is reported to be in final talks for the lead role, although Jon Hamm has also been linked.

Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige previously said that Doctor Strange will be a "crazy acid trip".
