Apple “to roll out iPad Air 2, third-gen iPad Mini Oct 16”October 4, 2014 - 13:12 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Apple is reportedly planning to announce its next iPads at a press conference on October 16. The technology giant will lift the lid on its next-generation tablets alongside new Mac hardware on that date, Digital Spy said citing Re/code. Previous reports suggest that we are likely to see the iPad Air 2 at the event, as well as a third-generation iPad Mini and even a 12.9-inch slate called the iPad Pro. The new flagship tablet is expected to be powered by an A8 processor backed up by 2GB of RAM, and come with the Touch ID fingerprint scanner found on the latest iPhones. Based on Apple's past product release schedule, at least one of the new iPads is likely to go on sale in November, but reports suggest that the iPad Pro may not be available until 2015. It was previously rumoured that Apple is planning to hold its iPad event on October 21, but this date now appears unlikely.
