Stephen King hints at multiple films for “The Stand” adaptationOctober 9, 2014 - 15:13 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Stephen King has hinted that the adaptation of The Stand might consist of multiple films, according to Digital Spy. The writer said that "an entirely different and innovative" approach was being considered for the project. Josh Boone will direct the film based on King's 1978 apocalyptic epic. "I think that his take is terrific - and don't count on it being one film," Stephen King told MTV. "There's talk about doing it in an entirely different and innovative way, and I don't want to go into it because that's Josh's baby." King also praised Boone's work on John Green adaptation The Fault in Our Stars. "He made The Fault in Our Stars, which is Class A filmmaking as far as I'm concerned," he said. "He's hugely ambitious and hugely energetic, so we'll see what happens." Nat Wolff previously became the first actor announced for The Stand. Matthew McConaughey is reportedly wanted for the project.
