12.9-inch iPad “gets delayed to make way for iPhone 6 Plus”

PanARMENIAN.Net - Apple is reportedly delaying production of its rumoured 12.9-inch iPad into early next year.

As Digital Spy reveals citing the Wall Street Journal, the upcoming tablet is being pushed back to make way for demand of the iPhone 6 Plus.

Some 200,000 Foxconn workers in China are currently working on iPhone parts but are struggling to keep up with orders.

It is claimed that the larger screened iPad was originally meant to go into production from the beginning of December for a potential Christmas release.

On Thursday (October 8), the iPhone maker confirmed that it would be holding its latest product launch event on October 16.

The company is also expected to announce an iPad Air 2 and a third-generation iPad Mini at the event.
