The Paramount film, directed by Rupert Wyatt and written by Oscar-winner William Monahan, follows a high-stakes gambler who bets it all when he borrows from a gangster and offers his life as collateral. He plays both sides by immersing himself in an underground world. The film was produced by Wahlberg, Stephen Levinson, Irwin Winkler, Robert Chartoff and David Winkler. It also stars John Goodman, Brie Larson, Michael Kenneth Williams and Jessica Lange. The AFI gala screening will take place at the Dolby Theater. AFI Fest will take place Nov. 6 through 13 at the Dolby Theatre, TCL Chinese Theatres, the Egyptian Theatre and the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel.
