Microsoft updates Windows 10 preview

PanARMENIAN.Net - Microsoft has distributed an update for Windows Technical Preview, an early build of the upcoming Windows 10, Digital Spy reported.

Many of the included changes were introduced based on community feedback from users testing the prototype operating system, and may go unnoticed due to their incremental nature.

However, the introduction of a notifications system dubbed Action Centre is a significant inclusion that could serve as a key feature of Windows 10.

"Most of the changes in this build will be invisible to you, but we've made nearly 7,000 improvements and fixes," explained Microsoft in a blog post.

"Many of those fixes were based on problem reports that you submitted in the Community forum or through the Windows Feedback app."

Other additions include new keyboard shortcuts for moving apps between monitors, and an animation that plays when users toggle virtual desktops.

A work in progress, Windows Technical Preview is aimed squarely at businesses, allowing their IT departments to take an early look at Windows 10's features and prepare their systems accordingly.

Microsoft recently advised consumers against downloading Windows Technical Preview, suggesting they wait for the Consumer Preview of the operating system, due for release in early 2015.
