Armenia ranked 103rd in WEF Global Gender Gap Report 2014October 28, 2014 - 17:10 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The World Economic Forum released the Global Gender Gap Report 2014, quantifying the magnitude of gender-based disparities and tracking their progress over time. The Global Gender Gap Index presented in the report measures the relative gaps between women and men across four key areas: health, education, economy and politics in 142 countries. In the WEF Index, Armenia was ranked 103rd ; the neighboring Georgia took the 85th spot, Azerbaijan was ranked 94th, Turkey and Iran were placed 125th and 137th respectively. The U.S. was placed 20th and Russia 25th. Armenia was ranked 82nd, 31st, 142nd and 123rd for women’s involvement in the sectors of economy, education, health and politics respectively.
