Eric Bana to topline “Special Correspondents” satirical comedy

PanARMENIAN.Net - Eric Bana will star alongside Ricky Gervais in Special Correspondents, Digital Spy said.

Gervais is writing, directing and starring in the satirical comedy, which is a remake of a 2009 French release.

Special Correspondents follows a struggling New York-based radio journalist (Bana), who fakes news reports from the front line while hiding out above a Spanish restaurant.

Principal photography is expected to begin in Vancouver and New York City in spring 2015.

Special Correspondents will be co-produced by Bron Studios and Unanimous Entertainment, in association with Creative Wealth Media Finance.

Gervais is also working on the release of his first David Brent movie Life on the Road, which is set for release in 2016.

Meanwhile, Bana is currently shooting The Finest Hours and will also star in The Secret Scripture.
