1st look at Patrick Stewart as Neo-Nazi in “Green Room”November 24, 2014 - 11:26 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Patrick Stewart has turned to the dark side. Stewart offered his Twitter followers a first look at his new white supremacist character in “Green Room” — a far cry from his iconic characters of Captain Jean Luc Picard from “Star Trek” and Professor Charles Xavier from the “X-Men” franchise, according to Variety. The photo shows the actor surrounded by other (more menacing-looking) Neo-Nazi skinheads, who he oversees as the leader of a fiefdom based in the Pacific Northwest. Anton Yelchin, Imogen Poots, Alia Shawkat and Joe Cole also star in the film written and directed by Jeremy Saulnier. The thriller centers around a punk rock band that ends up trapped in a secluded venue after witnessing a horrific act of violence. The band members eventually face off against Stewart and his gang of white power skinheads. BGP is producing and financing the film, which is set for release in 2015.
