New eBay shops feature interactive mirrorsDecember 1, 2014 - 12:49 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Despite the power of web shopping, eBay realises that physical stores still have their uses. So much so, the company is opening two new stores in New York and San Francisco for the Christmas period, but with a technological twist, Digital Spy said. Working with designer Rebecca Minkoff, eBay is fitting the so-called 'Connected Stores' with interactive touch screen mirrors, which allow customers to browse through clothing. Users can then tap to get clothes sent to a changing room and they will receive a text when their selections are ready for them. What's more, you can order a drink while you wait. Inside the dressing room there is another interactive mirror, which enables customers to adjust lighting. If you like what you're wearing but the fit or colours aren't quite right, the mirror will provide relevant alternatives and get a stylist to bring them over to you. Everything you try can be saved to a personal profile for buying later online or you can pay for the goods straight away with a PayPal account directly from the mirror.
